How Will Sato Shokuhin Kogyo’s Intellectual Property Strategy Change Under the Medium-Term Management Plan “Vision 2028”?
On May 22, 2025, Sato Shokuhin Kogyo Co., Ltd. announced its medium-term management plan “Vision 2028”, covering the three-year period from the fiscal year ending March 2026 to the fiscal year ending March 2028.

Information Retrieval Technology in the AI Era
I watched the livestream of the 89th Cyber Symposium on Online Education and Digital Transformation in Universities and Other Institutions, which was held on June 12. The time-shifted viewing is available until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16.
In particular, the presentation titled “Information Retrieval Technology in the AI Era” by Associate Professor Makoto Kato (National Institute of Informatics / University of Tsukuba), which lasted approximately 26 minutes, was especially insightful.

This lecture discusses the symbiotic relationship between generative AI and information retrieval technology—namely, how generative AI leverages retrieval techniques, and how retrieval systems, in turn, use AI to enhance their performance, leading to mutual improvement.
