For your reference. 5月9日、はままつ知財研究会第109回知財問題研究部会（ＩＰ部会）で、「実用段階に入った生成AIの特許実務での活用法～特許調査・出願権利化等におけるプロンプト作成等の実演を交えて～」というテーマで講師を務めました。いつもより多い会場いっぱいの参加者で盛会で、質問も多く、このテーマに対する関心の高さを感じました。
参加者の7割程度が生成AIを業務に使用している方で、特に会社としての対応がなく個人に任せられている会社から社内のサーバーにLLMを備え自社データをしっかり活用できる環境を整えられている会社、生成AIを使った知財サービスを検討されている方まで様々な方々が参加されていました。少しでもお役に立てばよいなと思っています。 2カ月に1回のペースで知財問題研究部会は行われているとのことですから、第109回というと20年近くになるわけです。委員の方々と話していて、事務局体制がしっかりされていること、委員の皆様が各回を担当され1年以上前から準備を進められていることなどが長続きの秘訣かなと思いました。 The 109th Intellectual Property Issues Study Group (IP Subcommittee) of the Hamamatsu Intellectual Property Study Association On May 9, I served as a lecturer at the 109th Intellectual Property Issues Study Group (IP Subcommittee) of the Hamamatsu Intellectual Property Study Association, speaking on the topic: "Practical Applications of Generative AI in Patent Practice – Including Demonstrations of Prompt Creation for Patent Searches, Applications, and Prosecution." The event was a great success, with the venue more crowded than usual and many questions from the audience, reflecting the high level of interest in this topic. Approximately 70% of the participants were already using generative AI in their work. Attendees came from a variety of backgrounds: some from companies that leave AI usage entirely up to individuals without any company-wide policy, others from organizations that have built robust environments by implementing LLMs on internal servers to leverage in-house data effectively, and still others who are exploring IP services utilizing generative AI. I hope the session was of some help to all of them. The IP Issues Study Group is held every two months, so with this being the 109th meeting, it has been running for nearly 20 years. In speaking with the committee members, I got the sense that the key to its longevity lies in the solid administrative structure and the fact that committee members take charge of each session and begin preparing more than a year in advance. |
