今回添付した資料は、リスク最小化のため公開済み情報のみを利用し、PoC（概念実証）を通じて小さな成功体験を積み重ねることを基本方針として、企業の知財部門における生成AI活用推進プランの「レベル1：探索・理解フェーズ」を詳述しています。
このフェーズでは、効率化（工数削減）と高付加価値（新たな視点）の両立を目指しており、「競合分析の高度化」「新規事業機会の探索」「戦略的インサイトの提供」「発明創出プロセスの加速」という具体的な四つのユースケースが紹介しています。
各ユースケースでは、プロンプト例と期待される成果（例えば、特許精読時間の短縮）を示しており、最終的にこのレベルを足掛かりに、より高度なレベルへの移行を目指す段階的なアクションプランを提示しています。
生成AI活用のルールとして、秘密情報は入力しないことが決められている企業において、秘密情報は入力しないで公開済み情報のみを利用することで、生成AI活用の有用性を示す一助になれば幸いです。
 
 
Demonstrating the Usefulness of Generative AI Using Only Publicly Available Information
At some companies, the rules for using generative AI stipulate that confidential information must not be entered. In such cases, it is important to demonstrate the usefulness of generative AI by relying solely on publicly available information.
The attached material details the “Level 1: Exploration & Understanding Phase” of a plan for promoting the use of generative AI in corporate intellectual property departments. Its basic policy is to minimize risks by using only public information and to build up small success stories through proof of concept (PoC).
This phase aims to balance efficiency (reduction of work hours) with high added value (new perspectives) and introduces four specific use cases:

• Enhancement of competitive analysis
• Exploration of new business opportunities
• Provision of strategic insights
• Acceleration of the invention creation process

For each use case, example prompts and the expected outcomes (e.g., shortening the time required for close reading of patents) are presented. Ultimately, this level serves as a stepping stone toward transitioning to more advanced levels, with a step-by-step action plan proposed.
For companies where the rule is to avoid inputting confidential information, I hope that by using only publicly available information, this material will help demonstrate the usefulness of generative AI.

Generative AI Transforms IP Operations: Protégé Arrives in PatentSight+
A new wave of innovation is about to reach the frontlines of intellectual property (IP) analysis. The official release is planned for November 2025, with demonstrations already made public.
