アジア太平洋機械翻訳協会（AAMT）、日本特許情報機構（Japio）が主催の「第8回特許情報シンポジウム」が2024年11月7日にオンライン開催され、各講師の講演後、パネルディスカッションが行われました。次の2つの質問に対する各講師の話を基に議論されました。
①生成 Alは特許等知財の創出や強化に繋がるか？
②今、本邦に求められる生成 Alに関わる技術は何か？

Generative AI Contributes to IP Creation and Strengthening
 
The '8th Patent Information Symposium,' organized by the Asia-Pacific Association for Machine Translation (AAMT) and Japan Patent Information Organization (Japio), was held online on November 7, 2024. Following each speaker's lecture, a panel discussion took place based on the following two questions:

1. Can generative AI contribute to the creation and strengthening of intellectual property, such as patents?
2. What generative AI-related technologies are currently required in Japan?
