Notably, the AI has moved beyond serving merely as a computational assistant. It is beginning to function as an autonomous researcher across multiple domains—ranging from molecular design through the drug discovery engine IsoDDE, to physics and economics. At the same time, in order to objectively assess AI’s contributions, DeepMind has introduced a new metric inspired by levels of autonomous driving: levels of autonomy in mathematical research. This framework symbolizes the dawn of a new scientific methodology in which humans and AI collaborate to explore previously unknown truths. I asked generative AI to conduct an in-depth analysis of this “Aletheia” development. Furthermore, the results were transformed into infographics and slide materials using NotebookLM.
