OpenAIが、7月25日に、検索AIのSearchGPTを発表しました。SearchGPTとは、検索機能に特化したChat-GPTと言えます。

The Impact of Generative AI on the Writing, Peer Review, and Publication of Academic Papers On July 23, 2024, the JEPA Seminar "Open Science and the Game Change in Intellectual Creative Activities in the Era of Generative AI," organized by the Japan Electronic Publishing Association (JEPA), was held online. The archived video is available for free on YouTube. Kazuhiro Hayashi, Head of the Data Analysis and Policy Research Office at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), discussed how generative AI is bringing significant transformations to each process of writing, peer review, and publication of academic papers. Researchers are now able to efficiently draft papers with AI support, enhance the quality of peer reviews, and expedite the publication process. The procedures for international applications under the PCT system are defined internationally by the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), regulations, and administrative instructions. In Japan, in addition to the "Act on International Applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty," enforcement orders and enforcement regulations have been established to stipulate procedures between the Japan Patent Office and applicants.
