セキュリティを確保、秘密情報も生かし生成AIを日常業務へ定着

昨日公開した、企業の知財部門における生成AI活用推進プラン「レベル1：探索・理解フェーズ」は、生成AI活用のルールとして秘密情報は入力しないことが決められている企業において、公開済み情報のみを利用して生成AI活用の有用性を示すやり方を提案したものでした。リスク最小化のため公開済み情報のみを利用し、PoC（概念実証）を通じて小さな成功体験を積み重ねることを基本方針としています。
今回添付した資料は、知的財産部門における生成AI活用推進プラン「レベル2'：業務適用フェーズ」の概要を説明するものです。このフェーズの基本方針は、セキュリティが確保された環境で秘密情報も活用することで、単なる効率化を超え、高付加価値の戦略的価値創出を目指す点にあります。具体的には、自社秘密アイデアと公開情報を組み合わせた出願戦略シミュレーションや、秘密資料を含む競合分析、発明創出ワークショップの支援、契約・訴訟対応シナリオ策定といった四つのユースケースを詳細に提示しています。
これらのユースケースは、いずれも従来数日から数週間かかっていたプロセスを即時または大幅に短縮しつつ、公開情報のみでは得られないより高度な分析を実現することを目標としています。
ベンダー選定や業務フローへの組み込みといったアクションプランを通じて、AI活用を日常業務へと定着させ、次の「レベル3：戦略統合」へとステップアップすることを計画しています。

Securing Security and Leveraging Confidential Information to Integrate Generative AI into Daily Operations
The plan published yesterday, “Level 1: Exploration and Understanding Phase” of generative AI utilization in corporate IP departments, proposed a method for demonstrating the usefulness of generative AI in companies where rules prohibit entering confidential information, relying only on publicly available data. To minimize risks, this phase emphasizes using public information exclusively and accumulating small successes through PoCs (Proofs of Concept).
The attached document explains the outline of “Level 2’: Business Application Phase” of the generative AI adoption plan in IP departments. The basic policy of this phase is to utilize confidential information in a secured environment, aiming not only at efficiency but also at creating high-value strategic outcomes. Specifically, it presents four detailed use cases:

filing strategy simulations combining proprietary confidential ideas with public information,
competitive analysis including confidential materials,
support for invention-creation workshops, and
formulation of contract and litigation response scenarios.

Each of these use cases aims to drastically shorten processes that previously took days to weeks, while enabling advanced analyses unattainable with public information alone.
Through action plans such as vendor selection and integration into business workflows, the goal is to establish AI utilization as part of daily operations and step up to “Level 3: Strategic Integration.”
