Perplexity、Genspark、Felo AIなどが情報検索型の生成AIとして台頭、Google一強だった従来型検索エンジンにとって代わる勢いでしたが、Googleの「Gemini 1.5 Pro with Deep Research」はGoogleのAI技術を活用したリサーチ特化型の新機能で、マルチステップ・リサーチ、大規模コンテキスト、ソースリンク付きレポート、チャット機能を備え、複雑な質問に対して自動で複数のサブトピックに分割して調査を実施し、Googleドキュメントで編集可能な包括的なレポートを自動生成します。Perplexity、Genspark、Felo AIよりレベルの高い検索ができ、出典が明確な包括的なレポートが出来てとても便利です。月額2,900円を払いGemini Advancedのユーザーにならないと使えませんが、その価値は十分あると感じています。

Perplexity, Genspark, and Felo AI have emerged as generative AI tools specializing in information retrieval, poised to challenge the traditional dominance of Google’s search engine. However, Google’s new “Gemini 1.5 Pro with Deep Research” feature, which harnesses Google’s AI technology, is specifically designed for research. It offers multi-step research, large-scale context handling, source-linked reports, and chat functionality. For complex questions, it automatically breaks them down into multiple subtopics, conducts an investigation, and generates a comprehensive report that can be edited in Google Docs.
Compared to Perplexity, Genspark, and Felo AI, Gemini 1.5 Pro enables more advanced searching and creates comprehensive reports with clearly cited sources, making it extremely convenient. While you do need to pay a monthly fee of 2,900 yen to become a Gemini Advanced user, I believe it is well worth the cost.
I instructed “Gemini 1.5 Pro with Deep Research” to create two reports: “Hitachi’s Growth Strategy” and “The Contribution of the Intellectual Property Department to Hitachi’s Growth Strategy.” I’ll leave it to each individual to assess the quality of the outputs.
