GPT-5.5やClaude 4.7をはじめとする次世代の推論特化型（Reasoning）大規模言語モデル（LLM）の登場により、これまで開発者やシステム設計者が多大な時間を費やしてきた「プロンプト・エンジニアリング（特定の出力を引き出すための手作業によるテキスト文字列の調整）」は、従来のプロンプトを最新モデルで「使ってはいけない（あるいは使うと性能が劣化する）」と、モデルのバージョンアップのたびに機能しなくなるという深刻な危機に直面しています。

Do Not Use Conventional Prompts with the Latest Models
With the emergence of next-generation reasoning-oriented large language models (LLMs), including GPT-5.5 and Claude 4.7, “prompt engineering”—the manual adjustment of text strings to elicit specific outputs, into which developers and system designers have invested enormous amounts of time—is facing a serious crisis. Conventional prompts may no longer work with the latest models; in fact, they may “not be used” with them, or their use may degrade performance. As a result, prompts can cease to function properly each time a model is upgraded.
