Nvidiaの新しいDNAモデル

NVIDIAは、2026年7月22日、Hugging Face上でゲノム基盤モデル「JEPA-DNA」をリリースしました。「JEPA-DNA」は、生成型事前学習とジョイント埋め込み予測アーキテクチャを組み合わせた新しいゲノム基盤モデルで、DNAの機能的理解を深めることを目的としています。
NVIDIAが開発したJEPA-DNAは、従来のゲノム言語モデルが抱えていた「局所的な塩基予測に偏る」という限界を打破するための革新的なフレームワークです。

NVIDIA's New DNA Foundation Model
On July 22, 2026, NVIDIA released its genome foundation model, JEPA-DNA, on Hugging Face. JEPA-DNA is a novel genomic foundation model that combines generative pretraining with a Joint Embedding Predictive Architecture (JEPA) to advance the functional understanding of DNA.
Developed by NVIDIA, JEPA-DNA represents an innovative framework designed to overcome a key limitation of conventional genomic language models—their tendency to focus primarily on local nucleotide prediction. By moving beyond this constraint, JEPA-DNA aims to capture higher-level biological representations and improve the understanding of functional genomic information.
