They established a high-capacity, low-latency communications environment by combining the All-Photonics Network (APN) of the next-generation communications infrastructure IOWN (Innovative Optical and Wireless Network) with 60 GHz-band wireless LAN technology (WiGig). Using this communications environment, they carried out a verification study aimed at enhancing outdoor facility inspection through the application of Physical AI technologies, including autonomous robots and digital twins. The demonstration confirmed that large volumes of data can be collected and transmitted in real time.
