NECが知財DX事業を開始

NECは、2026年1月19日、蓄積された知的財産業務のノウハウと最先端AI技術を駆使し、知的財産に関する戦略立案・創造・保護・活用など、幅広い知的財産業務のDXを推進し、企業の知的財産部門における業務効率化および高度化を支援する「知財DX事業」を開始することを発表しました。
第一弾として、NEC独自のAIを活用したSaaS型の業務効率化ツールとコンサルティングサービスの提供を2026年4月から開始し、2030年度末までに売上30億円を目指すということです。

NEC Launches an Intellectual Property DX Business
On January 19, 2026, NEC announced the launch of its “Intellectual Property DX Business,” which leverages the company’s accumulated know-how in intellectual property operations together with cutting-edge AI technologies. Through this initiative, NEC aims to promote the digital transformation (DX) of a wide range of intellectual property activities—such as strategy formulation, creation, protection, and utilization—and to support both greater efficiency and higher sophistication in the operations of corporate intellectual property departments.
As the first phase, NEC plans to begin offering, from April 2026, a SaaS-based operational efficiency tool powered by NEC’s proprietary AI, along with consulting services. The company has set a target of achieving sales of 3 billion yen by the end of fiscal year 2030.
