リコーのプライベートLLMを中核としたDX加速

企業のリーダー人材向けオンラインカンファレンス「VALUE DESIGN SUMMIT 2024　生成Alと企業価値創造」（株式会社NEWh、2024年11月29日開催）で、株式会社リコー Alインテグレーションセンター 所長 梅津良昭氏が「プライベートLLMを中核としたDXの加速。取り組み」という講演を行いました。
「生成AIの基盤となっているLLM（大規模言語モデル）は、OpenAIのChatGPT、GoogleのGemini、AnthropicのClaude、MetaのLlamaなどがあるが、オープンソースLLM（例: Llamaシリーズ）を活用してプライベートLLMを開発する企業が増えてきている。
リコーのプライベートLLMは、:MetaのLlamaシリーズをベースに独自の日本語LLM（13Bおよび70Bモデル）を開発、GPT-3.5ターボ相当、GPT-4相当のLLMを発表し、ビジネス活用を推進している。今後は、オンプレミス前提のプライベートLLMの活用がすすむ。」という内容でした。
軽量LLMによるオンプレミス前提のプライベートLLMは確実に増えそうです。

Acceleration of DX Centered on Ricoh's Private LLM
 
At the online conference "VALUE DESIGN SUMMIT 2024: Generative AI and Corporate Value Creation" (hosted by NEWh Inc. on November 29, 2024), Yoshiaki Umetsu, Director of the AI Integration Center at Ricoh Co., Ltd., gave a presentation titled "Acceleration of DX Centered on Private LLM: Initiatives."
He explained:
"LLMs (Large Language Models), which serve as the foundation for generative AI, include models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, Anthropic's Claude, and Meta's Llama. An increasing number of companies are developing private LLMs using open-source LLMs like the Llama series. Ricoh’s private LLM is based on Meta's Llama series, and the company has developed proprietary Japanese-language LLMs (13B and 70B models). Ricoh has announced LLMs equivalent to GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 and is promoting their business applications. Moving forward, the use of private LLMs designed for on-premises deployment will continue to expand."
The adoption of lightweight, on-premises private LLMs is expected to steadily increase.
