Latest Developments in Fujitsu’s LLM Takane and Its Applicability to Intellectual Property Operations
Takane, a large language model jointly developed by Fujitsu and Cohere, is designed specifically for use in advanced enterprise operations, particularly in the field of intellectual property. While offering strong Japanese-language processing capabilities, the model has been made lightweight through technologies such as 1-bit quantization, enabling it to operate in secure private environments and at the edge in order to protect confidential information.
Its main features include generative AI auditing technology that suppresses hallucinations, as well as knowledge graph–enhanced RAG that incorporates proprietary expert knowledge, thereby providing highly reliable outputs.
