生成AIの進化に応じ、知財分析や管理などのツールでも生成AIが組み込まれてきています。
3月18日に行われたPatentSight+「AI Assitant」解説Webinarは、PatentSight+に搭載されたAI機能について、技術面・セキュリティを含め、デモを交えて紹介されました。

以下は、私の理解です。
LexisNexis® PatentSight＋は、厳密にクレンジングされ豊富な付加情報を加えた特許データを基に、独自の評価指標（Patent Asset Index™）により、特許ポートフォリオの評価、競合分析、技術動向の把握など戦略的意思決定を支援する解析プラットフォームで、企業が自社の特許ポートフォリオの強み・弱みを客観的に把握でき、戦略的な意思決定ができるようになるツール。
PatentSight+のAI Assistantは、生成AIの力を加えることで、特許分析の効率化と洞察力向上を実現する次世代ツールで、生成AIが特許分析を支援し専門知識がなくてもIPランドスケープが推進できる、生成AIが特許分析にかかる時間と手間を削減できる、というメリットがある。
LexisNexisは今後も生成AIの活用を推進し、PatentSight+の進化を継続していく方針。

In response to advancements in generative AI, intellectual property (IP) analysis and management tools increasingly incorporate generative AI capabilities. On March 18, LexisNexis hosted a webinar explaining the PatentSight+ "AI Assistant," which introduced and demonstrated the new AI functionalities integrated into PatentSight+, covering technical aspects and security considerations.

Below is my understanding:
LexisNexis® PatentSight+ is an analytical platform that leverages thoroughly cleansed patent data enriched with extensive additional information, employing its proprietary evaluation metric (Patent Asset Index™) to support strategic decision-making. It facilitates patent portfolio evaluation, competitive analysis, and identification of technological trends, allowing companies to objectively assess their patent portfolio’s strengths and weaknesses for strategic decisions.
The PatentSight+ AI Assistant integrates generative AI, enhancing patent analysis efficiency and insight generation. Benefits of this next-generation tool include enabling patent analysis without requiring specialized knowledge, making IP landscape analyses more accessible, and significantly reducing the time and effort required for patent analysis.
LexisNexis will continue promoting the application of generative AI and further evolving PatentSight+ in the future.
