2026年1月23日Alibaba Cloudが推論特化のAIモデル「Qwen3-Max-Thinking」を公開、1月27日にはMoonshot AIが「Kimi K2.5」を公開しました。いずれも「GPT-5.2」や「Gemini 3 Pro」を凌ぐと主張し、年明け早々に中国勢のフラッグシップモデルが登場したことになります。「Qwen3-Max-Thinking」と「Kimi K2.5」は、いずれも「推論モデル+ツール+エージェント」を組み合わせて、実務な性能を強くアピールしており、生成AIの競争軸を変えようとしているようです。
生成AIに、「Qwen3-Max-Thinking」、「Kimi K2.5」、および、米国勢の動向予測について深堀分析させました。さらに、結果をNotebookLMでインフォグラフィック、スライド資料にさせました。

Chinese Models Claim to Outperform “GPT-5.2” and “Gemini 3 Pro”
On January 23, Alibaba Cloud released its reasoning-focused AI model “Qwen3-Max-Thinking,” followed by Moonshot AI’s release of “Kimi K2.5” on January 27. Both models claim to outperform “GPT-5.2” and “Gemini 3 Pro,” marking the early-year debut of flagship Chinese models.
Both Qwen3-Max-Thinking and Kimi K2.5 strongly emphasize practical, real-world performance by combining reasoning models, built-in tools, and agent capabilities, suggesting an attempt to redefine the competitive landscape of generative AI.
I conducted an in-depth analysis using generative AI on Qwen3-Max-Thinking, Kimi K2.5, and the projected trends of U.S.-based players. The results were then converted into infographics and slide materials using NotebookLM.
