2026年5月20日Google I/OにてGoogle は、科学研究を加速させるために開発した、科学特化型のAIツール群および実験プラットフォームである「Gemini for Science」を発表しました。科学的探究における「仮説生成」「文献分析」「計算発見」といったコアなステップの規模と精度を向上させ、がん治療の研究や新素材の開発、気候変動予測などを劇的に加速させることを目指しています。 この「Gemini for Science」について、生成AIに深掘りさせました。なお、生成AIによる調査・分析結果は、公開された情報からだけの分析であり、必ずしも実情を示したものではないこと、誤った情報も含まれていることについてはご留意されたうえで、ご参照ください。 Gemini for Science and the Future of Autonomous Research On May 20, 2026, at Google I/O, Google announced “Gemini for Science,” a suite of science-specialized AI tools and an experimental platform developed to accelerate scientific research. It aims to improve the scale and accuracy of core steps in scientific inquiry, such as hypothesis generation, literature analysis, and computational discovery, and to dramatically accelerate research in areas such as cancer treatment, the development of new materials, and climate-change forecasting.
