各レベルについて、孫氏は具体的な例を挙げながら説明を行っています。例えば、レベル1では、AIが人間と区別がつかないほど自然な会話ができるようになると予測。レベル2では、AIが複数の専門分野で人間の専門家を超える知識と理解力を持つようになると述べました。レベル3のエージェントとしての機能では、AIが人間の代理として様々なタスクを遂行できるようになると予想。レベル4では、AIが独自に新しい発明や発見を行い、科学技術の進歩を加速させる可能性を示唆しました。最後のレベル5では、複数のAIが協調して組織的に活動し、人間社会と並行して独自の「AI社会」を形成する可能性まで言及しました。
