Claude Opus 4.6, Anthropic’s latest AI model announced on February 5, 2026, features an enormous memory capacity capable of processing up to one million tokens at once. ARC-AGI-2 (Abstraction and Reasoning Corpus for AGI – Version 2) is a new version of a benchmark designed to measure abstract reasoning ability—that is, fluid intelligence: the capacity to reason in novel situations and solve problems without relying on accumulated knowledge. Although the tasks are easy for humans, they remain extremely challenging for current AI systems. On this ARC-AGI-2 benchmark, a system developed by Johan Land—based on a modified GPT-5.2—achieved an astonishing accuracy of 72.9% on February 3, 2026. Against this backdrop, it is striking that the commercial model Claude Opus 4.6 recorded a score of 68.8%, far exceeding the 54.2% achieved by GPT-5.2 Pro (High).
