知財業務の一歩先を行くAI活用を提案するPatSnap

Patsnapは、シンガポール発の企業が提供する、知財と研究開発のためのAI搭載インテリジェンスプラットフォームで、世界中の特許情報、文献、臨床試験データなどをAIで分析し、イノベーションの機会発見、競合分析、技術開発の方向性決定などを支援しています。
Patsanap Analyticsでは、PatSnapAI要約（Alによって特許の内容を簡単にまとめた「特許の名称AI」や明細書の記載内容から従来技術に存在する課題と解決手段、発明の効果を特定した「Al特許要約」）、PatSnap社独自の大規模言語モデル(LLM)を搭載し、特許、ニュース、非特許文献を含む広範なデータセットを用いて綿密に学習されたAlアシスタント「Hiro」などが備えられています。
また、PatSnap Eureka（ユーレカ）は、特許・論文などの情報を検索・分析することで、技術課題の解決や技術ロードマップの策定をサポートする研究開発者向けのツールですが、知財担当者向けの機能も組み込まれAI Agentとして様々な機能が組み込まれています。
Patsnapは、約三百人の開発部隊（うち、数十人がAI開発担当）を構えているということで、企業の技術開発戦略立案やリスク回避、新規事業機会の特定などに役立つ、高度な知財・R&Dインテリジェンスツールとしての今後の発展にも注目です。

PatSnap Proposes AI Utilization a Step Ahead in IP Operations
PatSnap, a Singapore-based company, provides an AI-powered intelligence platform for intellectual property (IP) and research & development (R&D). The platform analyzes global patent information, literature, and clinical trial data using AI to support the discovery of innovation opportunities, competitive analysis, and the determination of technology development directions.
PatSnap Analytics features include PatSnap AI Summaries—such as the “AI Patent Title,” which generates simplified patent names, and the “AI Patent Summary,” which identifies problems and solutions found in prior art and the effects of inventions from specification descriptions. It also incorporates PatSnap’s proprietary large language model (LLM) and the AI assistant Hiro, which has been meticulously trained on a wide-ranging dataset that includes patents, news, and non-patent literature.
In addition, PatSnap Eureka is a tool designed for researchers and developers that supports solving technical challenges and creating technology roadmaps through patent and paper search and analysis. At the same time, it also integrates functions for IP professionals, incorporating various features as an AI Agent.
PatSnap has a development team of about 300 people, with several dozen dedicated to AI development. As such, it is drawing attention as a sophisticated IP and R&D intelligence tool that can help companies with technology development strategy planning, risk avoidance, and identification of new business opportunities.
