特許特化型生成AIツールの進化

現在、企業の目的に応じて多様な特許特化型の生成AIツールが展開されていますが、技術の進化に伴い、そのシステムアーキテクチャはユーザーの指示を待つ「アシスタント（支援型）」から、目標に向けて自ら行動する「エージェント（自律遂行型）」へと明確なパラダイムシフトがおきています。
特許特化型の生成AIツールは、PtsnapやTokkyo.Aiに代表される「AIエージェント型（自律遂行・目標指向型）」と、島津製作所(Genzo AI)、Summaria、AI Samurai、Patentfieldなどに代表される「従来型生成AI活用ツール（タスク特化・支援型）」の2つのカテゴリに大別でき、実務上は、企業の規模や目的に応じてこれらのツールを使い分けるのが良いと考えています。

The Evolution of Patent-Specialized Generative AI Tools
Today, a wide variety of patent-specialized generative AI tools are available to meet different corporate needs. As AI technology continues to advance, however, their underlying system architecture is undergoing a clear paradigm shift—from “assistants” (support-oriented systems) that wait for user instructions to “agents” (autonomous, goal-oriented systems) that proactively take actions to achieve specified objectives.
Patent-specialized generative AI tools can broadly be divided into two categories:

AI Agent-Based Tools (Autonomous Execution / Goal-Oriented), represented by tools such as PatSnap and Tokkyo.AI; and
Conventional Generative AI-Powered Tools (Task-Specific / Support-Oriented), represented by tools such as Shimadzu Corporation (Genzo AI), Summaria, AI Samurai, and Patentfield.

From a practical standpoint, it is advisable for companies to select and utilize these tools according to their size, objectives, and intellectual property strategy.
