国産生成AIと知財の最前線

「国産生成AIと知財の最前線～開発者の視点と最新のAI活用情報から探る、これからの知財部門の姿～」というテーマで、2026年12月1日、日本ライセンス協会の月例研究会に登壇します。
生成AIで知財業務の「作業」の多くを担えるようになった今、知財部門は何をすべきか。国産AIとフロンティアAIの使い分け、AIへの任せ方を示し、知財部門が「権利の守護者」から「事業創造の先導者」へ転換する道筋を提言します。特に、国産AIが知財業務で十分使える水準に達してきているので、社内でフロンティアモデルを使えない状況に置かれている会社にとって福音であること、また、社内でフロンティアモデルを使える方々にとっても様々な課題を抱えるフロンティアモデルだけを使う必要がなくなってきていることを示したいと思っています。ぜひご参加ください。

The Frontiers of Japanese-Developed Generative AI and Intellectual Property
On December 1, 2026, I will be speaking at a monthly meeting of the Licensing Executives Society Japan (LES Japan) on the theme of “The Frontiers of Japanese-Developed Generative AI and Intellectual Property: Exploring the Future of IP Departments through Developers’ Perspectives and the Latest Insights into AI Applications.”
Now that generative AI can handle many of the tasks involved in IP work, what should IP departments focus on? I will explain how to make effective use of Japanese-developed AI and frontier AI for different tasks, and how to delegate work to AI. I will also propose a path for IP departments to evolve from “guardians of IP rights” into “leaders in business creation.”
In particular, I would like to highlight that Japanese-developed AI is reaching a level of capability that makes it fully viable for practical use in IP work. This is particularly welcome news for companies whose employees are unable to use frontier models at work. I also hope to show that, even for those who can use frontier models within their organizations, there is a decreasing need to rely exclusively on these models, which come with various challenges of their own.
