近年の大規模言語モデルの性能向上に伴い、「ハーネス：AIモデルの外側で、ファイルの読み込み、外部ツールの使用、実行権限、停止条件などを管理・制御するプログラムや枠組み）」が不要になるという議論が浮上しています。
AIエージェントのハーネス不要論について、生成AIに詳細に調べさせその影響を考察させました。なお、生成AIによる調査・分析結果は、公開された情報だけに基づくものであり、必ずしも実情を示したものではなく、誤った情報を含む可能性があることにご留意のうえ、ご参照ください。

Do AI Agents Still Need Harnesses?
Recent advances in large language model performance have given rise to the argument that harnesses may no longer be necessary. A “harness” is a program or framework that operates outside an AI model to manage and control file reading, external tool use, execution permissions, stopping conditions, and other aspects of its operation.
I asked generative AI to investigate the argument that AI agent harnesses are no longer needed in detail and consider its implications. Please bear in mind when reviewing the findings that the research and analysis generated by AI are based solely on publicly available information, may not accurately reflect actual circumstances, and may contain errors.
