知財実務オンライン「生成ＡＩ時代の新たな標準業務工程の試み 」

8月21日の第252回「知財実務オンライン」では、大瀬佳之氏（パテント・インテグレーションCEO）が登壇し、生成AIを活用した新たな標準業務工程を提案。特許要約や分類、拒絶対応支援などを通じて実務効率化を実現する一方、AIと人間・ルールベースの役割分担が今後の知財実務に不可欠であると強調されました。
大瀬氏が開発した「サマリア」は、特許文書の要約や分類、拒絶対応支援などを行うAIアシスタントで、私も初期から愛用していますが、既に100を超える大企業や弁理士事務所で利用されています。
『新たな標準業務工程の提案で、「レベル1（知識なし）～レベル3（十分理解済み）」の段階に応じてAI活用方法を変えるべき。集合の分割・サンプリング・フィードバックを繰り返し、最終的に全体処理するプロセス設計が有効。』というのは同感です。
生成AIの性能が高まり良い答えが得られるようになりましたが、多数の案件を効率よくこなす場合には、「サマリア」に任せた方が効率的です。

IP Practice Online: “Exploring New Standard Workflows in the Age of Generative AI”
In the 252nd session of “IP Practice Online” on August 21, Yoshiyuki Ose (CEO of Patent Integration) presented a proposal for new standard workflows using generative AI. He demonstrated how tasks like patent summarization, classification, and office action responses can be streamlined. At the same time, he emphasized that dividing roles between AI, humans, and rule-based systems will be essential for future IP practice.
Mr. Ose developed “Summaria,” an AI assistant that supports patent summarization, classification, and office action responses. I’ve personally used it from the early stages, and it’s now used by over 100 major companies and patent law firms.
I fully agree with his idea that AI usage should vary depending on the user’s level of understanding (from Level 1: no knowledge to Level 3: fully understood). A process design that repeats grouping, sampling, and feedback before full-scale processing is highly effective.
While generative AI has improved and can now provide quality answers, when handling a large volume of cases efficiently, it’s more practical to rely on “Summaria.”
