日立とコロンビア大学気候大学院の持続可能な投資センター（CCSI）は、2026年6月4日に共同報告書『AIと持続可能性トランジション：新たな機会、リスク、ガバナンス』（英文）を発表しました。AIが持続可能な社会への移行にどのような影響を与えるのかを、「地球環境」「エネルギーシステム」「産業・労働」「金融」「民主主義と社会的レジリエンス」の5つの分野から整理し、機会とリスクの観点で分析した上で、AIの利点を生かしながらリスクを抑えるためのガバナンスの枠組みと、その実現のためのロードマップを提言しています。

The Impact of AI on the Transition to a Sustainable Society
On June 4, 2026, Hitachi and the Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI) at Columbia Climate School jointly released the report “AI and the Sustainability Transition: Opportunities, Risks, and Governance.”
The report examines how AI may influence the transition toward a sustainable society across five key domains: the global environment, energy systems, industry and labor, finance, and democracy and social resilience. It analyzes both the opportunities and risks associated with AI in each of these areas and proposes a governance framework, along with an implementation roadmap, to maximize AI’s benefits while mitigating its potential risks.
