生成AI活用推進プラン「レベル２：業務適用フェーズ」

一昨日公開した、企業の知財部門における生成AI活用推進プラン「レベル1：探索・理解フェーズ」は、生成AI活用のルールとして秘密情報は入力しないことが決められている企業において、公開済み情報のみを利用して生成AI活用の有用性を示すやり方を提案したものでした。リスク最小化のため公開済み情報のみを利用し、PoC（概念実証）を通じて小さな成功体験を積み重ねることを基本方針としています。
昨日公開した、知的財産部門における生成AI活用推進プランの「レベル2'：業務適用フェーズ」は、知財ツールベンダーが準備したセキュリティが確保された環境でのツールを用いることにより秘密情報も活用することで、単なる効率化を超え、高付加価値の戦略的価値創出を目指しています。
「レベル2'」という書き方に関して質問や疑問の声をいただきました。実は、「レベル２：業務適用フェーズ」があったうえで、「レベル2'：業務適用フェーズ」という準備をしたのですが、「レベル２：業務適用フェーズ」の説明をしていませんでしたので、不審に思われたかもしれません。「レベル２：業務適用フェーズ」はセキュリティを担保した自社専用環境で秘密情報を活用した場合、「レベル2'：業務適用フェーズ」は知財ツールベンダーが準備したセキュリティが確保された環境でのツールを用いて秘密情報を活用した場合を想定しています。
いずれも、アクションプランを通じて、AI活用を日常業務へと定着させ、次の「レベル3：戦略統合」へとステップアップすることを計画しています。

Generative AI Utilization Promotion Plan “Level 2: Business Application Phase”
The plan released the day before yesterday, “Level 1: Exploration and Understanding Phase” of the Generative AI Utilization Promotion Plan for corporate intellectual property (IP) departments, proposed a method for demonstrating the usefulness of generative AI in companies where the rule is set not to input confidential information. The approach was to use only publicly available information, thereby minimizing risks, and to accumulate small success experiences through PoCs (Proof of Concept) as the basic policy.
The plan released yesterday, “Level 2’: Business Application Phase” of the Generative AI Utilization Promotion Plan for IP departments, aims to go beyond mere efficiency and pursue high-value strategic value creation. This is achieved by utilizing confidential information through tools provided in secure environments prepared by IP tool vendors.
Some questions and concerns were raised about the notation “Level 2’.” In fact, “Level 2: Business Application Phase” already existed, and “Level 2’: Business Application Phase” was prepared on that basis. However, since “Level 2: Business Application Phase” had not been explained, it may have caused confusion. “Level 2: Business Application Phase” assumes the use of confidential information in a company’s own secure environment, while “Level 2’: Business Application Phase” assumes the use of confidential information through tools provided in a secure environment prepared by IP tool vendors.
In both cases, the goal is to establish AI utilization as part of everyday business operations through action plans, and to step up to the next stage, “Level 3: Strategic Integration.”
