生成Aによる発明・イノベーションプロセスの変容

生成AIの出現が、発明およびイノベーションのプロセスをどのように変容させているかを詳細に分析した結果、AIは特にアイデア創出の初期段階において、人間の専門家が生み出すアイデアよりも統計的に新規性に優れるアウトプットを生成できることが示されています。一方で、AIの広範な利用は、個々のユーザーの創造性やスキルを向上させるものの、集団的なアウトプットの多様性を縮小させるという収斂リスクが指摘されています。
そのため、人間の役割はアイデアの創出者から、AIの出力を吟味し、文脈的・倫理的な制約を考慮してアイデアを選別・具体化するキュレーターおよび指揮者へと進化する必要があるという議論がされています。
こうした議論を生成AIに調査させました。

Transformation of the Invention and Innovation Process by Generative AI
A detailed analysis of how generative AI is transforming the invention and innovation process has shown that AI can generate outputs with statistically higher novelty than ideas produced by human experts, particularly in the early stages of ideation. On the other hand, while the widespread use of AI enhances the creativity and skills of individual users, it has been pointed out that it also creates a convergence risk—reducing the diversity of collective outputs.
Therefore, it is argued that the human role must evolve from being the primary creator of ideas to becoming the curator and conductor who evaluates AI-generated outputs, selects and concretizes ideas while considering contextual and ethical constraints.
I asked a generative AI system to investigate these discussions.
