知財戦略には普遍的な正解が存在せず、その企業独自の最適解が存在する。ところが、成功した（と評判の）会社の事例を一生懸命かき集め、自社にそのまま適用しようという、いわば「ベストプラクティスの模倣」が大流行しています。この流れでは、自社の強みを活かせないだけでなく、法的トラブルや競争力の喪失を招くリスクがあるので、注意が必要です。戦略とは、自社の事業目的を達成するために何を選び、何を捨てるかを個別に設計し続けるプロセスで、「万能の戦略」は存在しないことを理解しておく必要があります。

A strategy is an ongoing process of individually designing what to choose and what to discard in order to achieve one’s own business objectives. It is important to understand that there is no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all strategy.”
