知財実務オンライン「知財を『学ぶ』から『伝える』へ」

7月11日に配信された「第198回知財実務オンライン」では、「知財を『学ぶ』から『伝える』へ」をテーマに、野田佳邦准教授が登場しました。
学生主体で知財に関するアニメ教材を制作・公開する活動を行っており、地元警察署のコンテンツで最優秀作品を受賞、学生の意見を取り入れた海賊版対策の動画制作が注目され、大分県との連携事業として進められています。
2022年度に優秀な学生たちが良い例を作ったことをきっかけに動画教材を作成し、三菱育成財団の女性プログラムに採択されました。学生たちは高校教師とのディスカッションを通じて教材の必要性を議論し、産業財産権の授業にも反映しました。新キャラクター「星野ルナ」を登場させ、プロの制作会社と連携して質の高いコンテンツを制作しています。
意匠権の解説には学生が考案した耳栓のデザインを用い、登録手続きや調査の重要性を伝えています。動画の視聴前後の効果測定では、海賊版利用に対する意識が向上し、「良くない」と思う割合が増加しました。動画は教育現場で活用され、デジタル教材コンクールで賞を受賞し、高い評価を得ています。
野田准教授の取り組みは、学生主体の創造的な活動を通じて、知財の重要性を広めることに成功し、実践的な知識を提供することで学生たちが自身の知的財産を守る方法を学ぶ機会を提供しています。

Intellectual Property Practice Online: "From Learning to Teaching Intellectual Property"
 
On July 11, the "198th Intellectual Property Practice Online" featured Associate Professor Yoshikuni Noda, with the theme "From Learning to Teaching Intellectual Property." Professor Noda has been involved in activities where students independently produce and release anime educational materials related to intellectual property. These activities have been recognized with the Best Work Award for content created for the local police department, and the production of anti-piracy videos incorporating student feedback has garnered attention. This initiative is being advanced in collaboration with Oita Prefecture.
In the 2022 academic year, the creation of video materials began after exemplary work by outstanding students, and this project was adopted into the Mitsubishi Foundation's Women's Program. Through discussions with high school teachers, the students debated the necessity of these educational materials, which were also integrated into lessons on industrial property rights. A new character, "Luna Hoshino," was introduced, and high-quality content is being produced in collaboration with a professional production company.
For the explanation of design rights, a student-designed earplug was used to illustrate the importance of the registration process and investigation. Effectiveness measurements taken before and after watching the videos showed an increased awareness against the use of pirated materials, with a higher percentage of viewers thinking it was "wrong." The videos have been utilized in educational settings, received awards in digital educational material competitions, and have been highly evaluated.
Associate Professor Noda's efforts have successfully spread the importance of intellectual property through student-led creative activities, providing practical knowledge and opportunities for students to learn how to protect their own intellectual property.
