2026年10月8日（現地時間）、米ホワイトハウスはワシントンD.C.で開催されたサミットで、科学分野で総額60億ドル（約9,480億円）超の「今世紀最も野心的な科学イニシアチブ群」を発表しました。AIを科学研究に生かす国家プロジェクト「ジェネシス・ミッション」の官民連合には、エヌビディアやオープンAI、アンソロピックなど産業界11社が、AIのツールと計算クレジットで計24億ドルを拠出します。

The U.S. $6 Billion Science Initiative and a Comparison with Japan
On October 8, 2026 (local time), at a summit held in Washington, D.C., the White House announced what it described as “the most ambitious set of scientific initiatives of this century,” totaling more than $6 billion (approximately ¥948 billion).
