30年間ほぼゼロ成長という日本経済は世界的に見て「異常」

内閣府が15日に発表した2023年の国内総生産（GDP、季節調整済み）速報値で、名目GDPは前年比5.7％増、実額は過去最高の591兆4820億円、ドル換算では4兆2106億ドルとなり、ドイツに抜かれて世界3位から4位に転落したということで、日本がドイツの経済規模を下回るのはおよそ半世紀ぶりということです。
林芳正官房長官は記者会見で「バブル崩壊以降、企業は足元の収益確保のために賃金や成長の源泉である投資を抑制し、結果として消費の停滞や物価の低迷、成長の抑制がもたらされた」と指摘しています。

The Japanese economy, which has seen virtually zero growth for 30 years, is considered 'abnormal' on a global scale.
 
The Cabinet Office announced on the 15th the preliminary figures for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP, seasonally adjusted) for 2023, in which the nominal GDP increased by 5.7% from the previous year to a record high of 591 trillion 4820 billion yen, equivalent to 4 trillion 210.6 billion dollars in dollar terms. As a result, Japan fell from 3rd to 4th place in the world, being overtaken by Germany. This marks the first time in about half a century that Japan's economic size has fallen below that of Germany.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi pointed out in a press conference that "after the burst of the bubble, companies have suppressed wages and investments, which are the sources of growth, in order to secure immediate profits, leading to stagnation in consumption, price declines, and suppressed growth."
