2026年7月17日から20日にかけて、中国・上海で開催された「2026年世界人工知能会議（WAIC）」では、習近平国家主席が会議創設以来初めて直接出席して基調講演を行いました。また、29カ国が署名した政府間AI協力組織「WAICO（世界人工知能協力機構）」が発足しました。
