味の素統合報告書にみる知財・無形資産記述の変化

一般社団法人知財・無形資産ガバナンス協会の知財ガバナンス研究会知財コンサル等分科会では、コーポレートガバナンス・コード（2021年6⽉改訂）および知財・無形資産ガバナンスガイドライン Ver2.0（2023年3⽉）を踏まえ、⽇本企業における知財・無形資産ガバナンスの実施状況に関する調査を⾏ってきています。
2022年6⽉にJPX⽇経インデックス400選定銘柄、2023年3⽉に東証プライム上場企業の時価総額上位950社、2024年3⽉に同960社、2025 年3⽉に同990社を対象とした調査結果をそれぞれ公表しました。
2026年3月6日に行われた「知財投資・活用戦略の有効な開示及びガバナンスに関する検討会」（第２８回）では、引き続き時系列での推移を確認するため、これまでの調査要領を踏襲し、東証プライム上場企業の時価総額上位700社を対象に知財・無形資産の投資・活⽤戦略に関する情報開⽰状況についての調査・分析・考察を報告しています。
この報告の中では、本調査に基づく好事例企業として、⽇清オイリオグループ株式会社（2602）、味の素株式会社（2802）、三井⾦属株式会社（5706）、株式会社デンソー（6902）、東京エレクトロン（8035）、住友商事株式会社（8053）を紹介しています。
この好事例企業6社の3年間の統合報告書における知財・無形資産に関する記述の変化を生成AIに分析させましたので、順にご紹介します。今回は、味の素株式会社（2802）の分析結果です。

Changes in Intellectual Property and Intangible Asset Descriptions in Ajinomoto’s Integrated Reports
The Intellectual Property Governance Study Group’s Intellectual Property Consulting Subcommittee of the Intellectual Property and Intangible Asset Governance Association of Japan has been conducting surveys on the implementation status of intellectual property and intangible asset governance among Japanese companies, based on the Corporate Governance Code (revised in June 2021) and the Intellectual Property and Intangible Asset Governance Guidelines Ver. 2.0 (March 2023).
The subcommittee published survey results in June 2022 covering companies selected for the JPX-Nikkei Index 400, in March 2023 covering the top 950 companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market by market capitalization, in March 2024 covering the top 960 companies, and in March 2025 covering the top 990 companies.
At the 28th meeting of the “Study Group on Effective Disclosure and Governance of Intellectual Property Investment and Utilization Strategies” held on March 6, 2026, a further report was presented on the disclosure status, analysis, and evaluation of investment and utilization strategies related to intellectual property and intangible assets among the top 700 Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market-listed companies by market capitalization. In order to confirm trends over time, the study followed the same survey methodology used in previous years.
In this report, the following companies were introduced as exemplary cases based on the survey findings: Nisshin OilliO Group, Ltd. (2602), Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (2802), Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co., Ltd. (5706), DENSO CORPORATION (6902), Tokyo Electron Limited (8035), and Sumitomo Corporation (8053).
I asked generative AI to analyze how descriptions related to intellectual property and intangible assets changed over the past three years in the integrated reports of these six exemplary companies, and we will introduce the results one by one. This time, we present the analysis results for Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (2802).
