OpenAIは、2月3日（日本時間）、オンラインソースから検索し、分析して情報をまとめる新機能「Deep Research」を日本で発表しました。
「OpenAIの次世代エージェント」と位置づけられた「Deep Research」は、WebブラウジングとPython分析に最適化された次期バージョンのOpenAI o3モデルを搭載しており、その推論能力を活用してインターネット上のテキストや画像、PDFなどを検索・分析し、情報を整理します。
同様の機能はGoogleのGemini Advancedに「Deep Reasarch」として搭載されていますので、比較してみました。

On February 3rd (Japan time), OpenAI announced in Japan a new feature called “Deep Research”, which searches for information from online sources, analyzes it, and compiles it.
Positioned as “OpenAI's next-generation agent”, Deep Research is equipped with the next version of the OpenAI o3 model, which is optimized for web browsing and Python analysis, and uses its inference capabilities to search for and analyze text, images, PDFs, etc. on the internet and organize the information.
A similar function is included in Google's Gemini Advanced as Deep Research, so I compared the two.
