2025年11月24日にトランプ政権が発動した「Genesis計画」は、人工知能と高性能コンピューティングを融合させ、科学技術の生産性を劇的に向上させることで、米国の圧倒的な優位性を確立することを目指しています。エネルギー省（DOE）が主導し、全米の国立研究所と主要な民間企業が連携して、実験の自動化や新素材開発を行う巨大なエコシステムを構築する内容となっています。対中競争における経済安全保障や、エネルギー、バイオ技術といった戦略的分野での技術革新が主要な目標として掲げられており、最終的に、AIを単なる道具から「共同研究者」へと昇華させ、科学的発見のプロセスそのものを変革しようとする国家規模の野心的な試みとなっています。
