2025年12月4日、Gemini 3 Deep Think が利用できるようになりました。 Gemini 3 Proは知財業務に大きな効率化と高度化をもたらしました。特許先行技術調査や明細書作成、翻訳、契約レビューといった業務で、マルチモーダル理解・大容量コンテキスト処理・高い推論力による質と速度の飛躍的向上が実現しています。しかしPro版にも限界が残り、複雑な法的論理の構築や長文脈での一貫性維持、ハルシネーション(根拠なき出力)のリスクといった課題が指摘されていまし。 Gemini 3 Deep ThinkはGemini 3の「最先端の推論モード」であり、内部で思考の連鎖(Chain of Thought)を巡らせ複数の仮説を並行検討することで、これまで以上に複雑な問題を解決できます。 生成AIに、Gemini 3 ProとDeep Thinkの技術的違いを整理し、Pro版が知財業務にもたらした変革とその時点での限界、Deep Thinkによって各種知財業務(先行技術・無効資料調査、権利侵害分析、FTO調査、審査対応、知財戦略立案・R&D支援)がどのように深化・自動化されると予測されるかを考察させました。そして、この生成AI報告内容をNotebookLMでインフォグラフィック、スライド資料にまとめさせました。 なお、生成AIによる調査・分析結果は、公開された情報からだけの分析であり、必ずしも実情を示したものではないこと、誤った情報も含まれていることについてはご留意されたうえで、ご参照ください。 A Revolution in IP Operations: From Gemini 3 Pro to Gemini 3 Deep Think On December 4, 2025, Gemini 3 Deep Think became available. Gemini 3 Pro has already brought significant efficiency and sophistication to IP operations. In tasks such as prior art searches, patent specification drafting, translation, and contract review, its multimodal understanding, large-context processing, and strong reasoning capabilities have enabled dramatic improvements in both quality and speed. However, limitations remained even in the Pro version—particularly in constructing complex legal logic, maintaining consistency across very long contexts, and mitigating the risk of hallucinations (ungrounded outputs). Gemini 3 Deep Think is the “cutting-edge reasoning mode” of Gemini 3. By internally generating chains of thought and evaluating multiple hypotheses in parallel, it can solve problems of far greater complexity than before. I asked generative AI to (1) organize the technical differences between Gemini 3 Pro and Deep Think, (2) analyze the transformation that the Pro version brought to IP workflows and the limitations that remained at that stage, and (3) consider how Deep Think is expected to further deepen and automate various IP tasks—including prior art and invalidation searches, infringement analysis, FTO assessments, office-action responses, IP strategy formulation, and R&D support. The results were then summarized into infographics and slide materials using NotebookLM.
