「Gemini 3 Deep Think」が登場

2025年12月4日、Gemini 3 Deep Think がGoogle AI Ultra サブスクリプションメンバーがGemini アプリで利用できるようになりました。
「Gemini 3 Deep Think」の最大の技術的ブレイクスルーは、従来の逐次的な思考の連鎖(CoT)から脱却し、複数の仮説を同時に検証・統合する大規模並列推論(システム2思考)をアーキテクチャの核として実装した点です。この構造的転換の結果、本モデルは、Humanity's Last Examや汎化能力を測るARC-AGI-2といった最難関ベンチマークにおいて、GPT-5やClaude 4.5といった既存モデルのスコアを圧倒的に凌駕しました。
技術的には、効率化された論理パス単位の混合専門家(MoE)構造、外部ツールやコード実行とのシームレスな統合、およびマルチモーダル推論能力の深化が、その高い精度を支えています。さらに、応答の速さ(Fastモード)と推論の深さ(Deep Thinkモード)を柔軟に切り替えられる実用性の高さや、APIエコシステムへの組み込みやすさが強調され、AI開発の潮流を「速さ」から「深さ」へと転換させたと結論づけられています。この構造的な優位性により、Deep Thinkは「推論モデル」の新しい標準を確立し、競合製品を陳腐化させたという評価がされています。
この内容を生成AIに調べさせました。そして、この生成AI報告内容をNotebookLMでインフォグラフィック、スライド資料にまとめさせました。

The Arrival of “Gemini 3 Deep Think”
On December 4, 2025, Gemini 3 Deep Think became available in the Gemini app for Google AI Ultra subscription members.
The greatest technical breakthrough of Gemini 3 Deep Think is that, instead of relying on conventional sequential chains of thought (CoT), it implements large-scale parallel reasoning (System-2 thinking) as its core architecture—allowing multiple hypotheses to be evaluated and integrated simultaneously. As a result of this structural shift, the model has achieved overwhelmingly superior scores on the most challenging benchmarks, such as Humanity’s Last Exam and ARC-AGI-2, far surpassing existing models like GPT-5 and Claude 4.5.
Technically, its high accuracy is supported by an optimized logic-path-level Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) structure, seamless integration with external tools and code execution, and further enhancements in multimodal reasoning capabilities. In addition, the model offers exceptional practicality by allowing users to flexibly switch between fast response mode (“Fast”) and deep-reasoning mode (“Deep Think”). Its easy integration into API ecosystems has also been emphasized, leading to the conclusion that the current trend in AI development is shifting from mere “speed” to true “depth.”
Due to this structural advantage, Deep Think is regarded as having established a new standard for reasoning models, rendering competing products obsolete.
I had a generative AI system investigate this topic, and the resulting report was compiled into infographics and slide materials using NotebookLM.
