世界初のAI規制法がEUで成立 今後「世界標準」化？

世界初のAI規制法が2024年5月21日にEU加盟国により承認され成立しました。
この法律は、AIのリスクを分類し、特定の利用を禁止、または厳しいリスク管理を求めており、違反した企業には最大で3500万ユーロ（約60億円）か年間売上高の7%のどちらか高い方が制裁金として科されます。
この世界初の包括的なAI規制法は、2026年に本格的に適用される見通しで、4〜5億の人口を抱えるEUの新たなルールが今後「世界標準」になる可能性があります。

The World's First AI Regulation Law Enacted in the EU: Will It Become a Global Standard?
 
The world's first AI regulation law was approved and enacted by EU member states on May 21, 2024. This law classifies AI risks, prohibits certain uses, and requires strict risk management for others. Companies that violate this law face fines of up to 35 million euros (approximately 6 billion yen) or 7% of their annual turnover, whichever is higher.
 
This comprehensive AI regulation law is expected to be fully enforced in 2026. With the new rules set by the EU, which has a population of 400 to 500 million people, there is a possibility that these regulations could become the "global standard" in the future.
