生成AIの業務活用への10の学び

「2023年度 デジタル庁・行政における生成AIの適切な利活用に向けた技術検証」結果の報告が、5月13日付けでデジタル庁から公表されています。
デジタル庁を中心とした行政職員を対象に、実際に複数種類のテキスト生成AIを取り扱える環境＋ユースケースごとの独自開発を含むサポート体制を作り、(1)どの行政業務に対し、(2)どのようにテキスト生成AIを使えば、(3)どのくらい改善効果がありそうか、を調べた報告書のエッセンスがテキスト生成AIの業務活用への10の学びの一覧としてまとめられています。

1. 時間の削減だけでなく品質向上も狙える
2. 業務を工程に分解し、生成AIを使うべきでない箇所を意識する
3. 「書く」だけでなく「読む」も得意
4. 活用用途をチャットインターフェースに限定しない
5. 「業務改善」だけでなく「システム改善」のためにもテキスト生成AIの検証環境は重要
6. 初心者向けにコピペで使える状態が重要
7. 作文に不慣れな人や、一般的な業務知識に乏しい人はテキスト生成AIの恩恵を受けやすい
8. 繰り返し発生し、工程が切り出しやすい業務はテキスト生成AIの恩恵を受けやすい
9. ソースコードの作成業務はテキスト生成AIの恩恵を受けやすい

10 Lessons Learned for Business Use of Generation AI
 
A report on the results of the "FY2023 Technical Verification for Appropriate Use of Generated AI in Digital Agency and Public Administration" has been published by the Digital Agency as of May 13, 2024.
The report, aimed at administrative staff mainly from digital agencies, created an environment that can actually handle multiple types of text generation AI + a support system that includes original development for each use case, and investigated (1) which administrative tasks can be improved, (2) how text generation AI can be used, and (3) how much improvement effect it is likely to have. The essence of the report is summarized as a list of 10 lessons learned for using text generation AI in business operations.
1. Not only save time, but also improve quality
2. Break down work into processes and be aware of the parts that should not use text generation AI.
3. be good at "reading" as well as "writing
4. do not limit its use to chat interfaces
5. verification environment of text generation AI is important not only for "business improvement", but also for "system improvement
6. it is important for beginners to be able to use it by copy and paste
7. people unfamiliar with composition and those with limited general business knowledge can easily benefit from text generation AI
8. tasks that are repetitive and easy to carve out processes are likely to benefit from text generation AI
9. tasks that generate source code are likely to benefit from text generation AI
10. there is room for specialized development of information retrieval capabilities according to individual needs
