従来のアセアン諸国での知財保護と言えば「模倣品対策」が中心であって、知財権侵害と言えば専ら商標権・著作権侵害でしたが、最近の動きとして意匠権侵害に関する訴訟案件が増え、特許権侵害による高額な訴訟案件も報告されるなど、発明の保護・活用（意匠の保護・活用）による機運が高まってきているとのことです。

In the past, IP protection in ASEAN countries primarily focused on "counterfeit measures," with IP infringement mainly concerning trademark and copyright violations. However, recent developments indicate a growing trend in the protection and utilization of inventions (as well as designs), with an increase in design infringement litigation cases and reports of costly patent infringement lawsuits.
