NotebookLM, GPTs, Projects の比較

年末に 40 個の PDF ファイルを読み込み、その内容を評価する必要があったため、ChatGPT の GPTs および Google の NotebookLM を使用しました。GPTs は PDF ファイルだけでなく、Web 上の情報も加味して評価しているため、やや甘めの評価結果が得られました。一方、NotebookLM は PDF ファイルに書かれている情報だけを評価対象としているため、より厳しい評価結果となりました。
最終的には、NotebookLM が抽出してくれた内容や評価結果を主な参考とし、GPTs の評価結果や評価理由を補助的な参考とすることで評価をまとめました。昨年は生成 AI を使わず、すべて手作業で読み込んでいたので、今年は大幅に作業が楽になりました。
特定のファイルをアップロードして、それを中心にさまざまな作業ができる生成 AI ツールとしては、NotebookLM や GPTs のほかに Claude の Projects も存在します。
 
ユーザー独自のチャットボットを作成できる NotebookLM、GPTs、Projects の比較を検討し、比較表を作成してみました。ただし、これらのツールは急速に変化しており、使い勝手が向上したり、新たな機能が追加されたりするため、あくまで現時点での比較であることにご留意ください。
 
 
 
Comparison of NotebookLM, GPTs, and Projects
 
At the end of the year, I needed to analyze and evaluate the contents of 40 PDF files. To accomplish this, I utilized ChatGPT's GPTs and Google's NotebookLM. Since GPTs consider not only the contents of the PDF files but also information from the web, the evaluation results were somewhat lenient. In contrast, NotebookLM only evaluated the information explicitly written in the PDF files, resulting in stricter evaluation outcomes.
Ultimately, I compiled my evaluation by primarily relying on the content and results extracted by NotebookLM, while using the evaluation results and reasoning from GPTs as supplementary references. Compared to last year, when I manually reviewed all the files without generative AI, this year’s work was significantly easier.
In addition to NotebookLM and GPTs, there is another generative AI tool called Claude's Projects, which allows users to upload specific files and carry out various tasks centered around those files.
I also considered the comparison of NotebookLM, GPTs, and Projects as tools for creating user-specific chatbots and created a comparison table. However, please note that these tools are rapidly evolving, with improvements in usability and the addition of new features, so this comparison reflects their current state as of now.
