無料ツールとして、J-PlatPat ・J-Global・Google patents ・Lens.org・WIPO Patentscope・Espacenetについて、ツールごとの集計・分析機能を紹介しており、新しいEspacenetではFilters機能としてグラフ化できることも紹介していました。
また、生成AIの活用にも積極的で、特許情報の効率化を図ることが出来ることを実例を挙げて説明されていました。
有料ツールでなくても、ここまでできるという事がわかります。

The Current State of Patent Analysis Using Excel and Open Tools
 
I watched the archived video of the e-Patent YouTube talk session titled 'The Current State of Patent Analysis Using Excel and Open Tools - Lens.org, J-Global, etc. - by Mr. Satoshi Sato (Director and Patent Attorney at Sato & Associates Patent Firm),' which was live-streamed on August 21st. (Approximately 1.5 hours)
 
The session introduced various free tools such as J-PlatPat, J-Global, Google Patents, Lens.org, WIPO Patentscope, and Espacenet, highlighting the aggregation and analysis functions of each tool. It was also mentioned that the new Espacenet includes a 'Filters' feature that allows for graphing.
 
Additionally, Mr. Sato demonstrated the proactive use of generative AI, explaining how it can enhance the efficiency of handling patent information with practical examples. The session made it clear that it is possible to achieve a lot even without paid tools.
