「ＡＩ制度研究会」の設置

政府は、7月１９日、「統合イノベーション戦略 2024」(2024 年 6 月 4 日閣議決定)に基づき、イノベーション政策強化推進のための有識者会議「ＡＩ戦略」（ＡＩ戦略会議）の下、「ＡＩ制度に関する考え方」等を踏まえ、ＡＩ制度の在り方について検討することを目的として、「ＡＩ制度研究会」を設置することを決めました。
座長が東大大学院　松尾豊教授、座長代理がＡＩセーフティ・インスティテュート　村上明子所長。
基本、非公開というのが気になりますが、資料などは、部分的にでも公開されると思いますので、密室会議とはならないと思います。良い方向へ向かってほしいですね。

Establishment of the "AI System Research Council"
 
On July 19, the government decided to establish the "AI System Research Council" under the "AI Strategy" (AI Strategy Council) of the Expert Committee for Strengthening Innovation Policy. This decision is based on the "Integrated Innovation Strategy 2024" (approved by the Cabinet on June 4, 2024) and aims to consider the appropriate framework for AI systems, taking into account perspectives on AI systems.
The chairperson of the council is Professor Yutaka Matsuo from the University of Tokyo Graduate School, and the vice-chairperson is Director Akiko Murakami from the AI Safety Institute.
Although it is concerning that the meetings will primarily be closed to the public, I believe that some materials will be partially disclosed, so it won't be entirely behind closed doors. I hope it will lead to positive outcomes.
