製造業における生成AI活用の実態調査

自然言語処理を活用した企業文化変革の支援を行うサービスの開発・運営を行っており、独自の生成AIモデル「Stockmark-LLM-100b」の開発も手掛けている、ストックマーク株式会社が、製造業における生成AI活用の実態調査（2024年3月実施版；339名234社、回答社数の大半は「従業員1000名以上の企業」にて「研究・開発・設計」部門に所属）の結果を公表しています。
１．約7割の回答者企業で生成AIが導入済み、製造業においてもAI活用は当たり前になりつつある
２．せっかく導入したAIでも、利用頻度はまだまだ少なめの結果に、「数日に1回程度」の利用と回答する声が全体の35%であった
３．生成AI活用の次のステップは「社内情報の活用」、「社内情報の活用」を“既に利用・検討中”で約80%を占め、注目度が高い結果となった
４．社内情報の活用が進む組織では、生成AIツール利用頻度が平均値を大きく上回っている、生成AIツールで社内情報を活用できる状況であると、AIツール利用率は平均値より約20%高くなった
６．懸念されがちな”セキュリティ”の壁を乗り越え、生成AI✕社内情報の活用が進めば
社員のAIの利用頻度が向上し、組織全体での生産性向上が期待できる

Survey on the Actual Utilization of Generative AI in Manufacturing
 
Stockmark Inc., a company that develops and operates services to support corporate culture transformation using natural language processing, and which has also developed its own generative AI model "Stockmark-LLM-100b," has published the results of a survey on the utilization of generative AI in the manufacturing industry (conducted in March 2024; 339 respondents from 234 companies, with the majority of respondents being from companies with over 1,000 employees and belonging to the "research, development, and design" departments).

1. Approximately 70% of respondent companies have already introduced generative AI, indicating that the use of AI is becoming commonplace even in the manufacturing industry.
2. Despite the introduction of AI, the frequency of use remains relatively low, with 35% of respondents stating they use AI "about once every few days."
3. The next step in utilizing generative AI is the "utilization of internal information," with about 80% of respondents either already using or considering the use of internal information, highlighting its high level of interest.
4. In organizations where the utilization of internal information is advancing, the frequency of generative AI tool usage significantly exceeds the average, with the usage rate being about 20% higher than the average when generative AI tools can utilize internal information.
5. Overcoming the often-concerned "security" barriers and advancing the utilization of generative AI with internal information can lead to increased AI usage frequency among employees and is expected to enhance overall organizational productivity.

It appears that the utilization of generative AI is rapidly progressing to the stage of "utilizing internal information."
