2025年はAIエージェント元年と言われ、生成AIの基盤モデルの性能アップに伴い、OpenAIのロードマップ（5段階）での第３段階に突入しています。（レベル1：チャットボット、レベル2：論理的思考、レベル3：エージェント、レベル４：イノベーター、レベル5：組織）

Microsoftは3月5日、営業部門向けのAIエージェントを発表しました。リード（見込み客）の調査や会議の設定、顧客へのリーチ、さらには影響の小さいリードとの成約によって、営業担当チームがより多くの取引を迅速にまとめるのに役立つ「Sales Agent」、CRMデータやプレゼンテーション資料、会議、メール、ウェブなどから、営業担当チームが必要な情報すべてを入手でき、「調査」に費やす時間を減らして売り込みにかける時間を増やすのに役立つAIチャットインターフェース「Sales Chat」です。
Deep Researchで、情報検索のAIエージェント化が進んでいますが、OpenAI「Operator」にとどまらず、さまざまな特化型のAIエージェントも実用段階に入ってきました。

Microsoft's AI Agents for Sales Departments

The year 2025 is regarded as the dawn of the AI Agent era. With advancements in the performance of generative AI foundational models, we have now entered the third stage of OpenAI's five-level roadmap. (Level 1: Chatbot, Level 2: Logical Thinking, Level 3: Agent, Level 4: Innovator, Level 5: Organization.)
On March 5, Microsoft announced AI agents specifically designed for sales departments. These include the Sales Agent, which assists sales teams in rapidly closing more deals by researching leads, scheduling meetings, reaching out to customers, and even finalizing transactions with lower-impact leads. There's also the AI chat interface Sales Chat, which provides sales teams with all the information they need—drawn from CRM data, presentation materials, meetings, emails, and web sources—helping to reduce time spent on research and allowing more focus on actual sales activities.
While the trend towards AI agent-based information retrieval is accelerating through developments such as Deep Research, specialized AI agents beyond OpenAI's "Operator" are also increasingly becoming practical realities.
