リコーの日本語特化型リーズニングLMM

リコーは2026年3月30日、複雑な図表を含む日本語のビジネス文書を高精度に読解し、段階的な推論プロセスを日本語で出力できるマルチモーダル大規模言語モデル（LMM: Large Multimodal Model）を開発したと発表しました。独自に工夫した強化学習により思考過程の可視化を実現し、米グーグルの「Gemini 2.5 Pro」に匹敵する性能を達成しているということです。

Ricoh’s Japanese-Specialized Reasoning LMM
On March 30, 2026, Ricoh announced that it had developed a multimodal large language model (LMM: Large Multimodal Model) capable of accurately understanding Japanese business documents that include complex charts and diagrams, and of outputting step-by-step reasoning processes in Japanese. Through uniquely designed reinforcement learning, the model enables visualization of its reasoning process and is said to achieve performance comparable to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro.
I conducted an in-depth analysis of Ricoh’s Japanese-specialized reasoning LMM using generative AI.
