IPAS (IP Acceleration program for Startups) 成果事例集

特許庁は、IP Acceleration program for Startups（IPAS）を2018年度から実施、2023年度までの6年間で104社を支援してきたそうですが、この6年間の支援成果と6社の事例、さらに創業期への支援で明らかになった知財戦略構築における6つのポイント等を解説した事例集「IPAS成果事例集～事例で振り返る6年間のIPASの成果と創業期への支援で明らかになった知財戦略策定のポイント」（36頁）を作成し、6月3日、公開しました。

IPAS (IP Acceleration program for Startups) Success Stories Collection
 
The Japan Patent Office has been implementing the IP Acceleration program for Startups (IPAS) since 2018, supporting 104 companies over six years up to 2023. They have compiled a collection of success stories titled "IPAS Success Stories Collection - Reflecting on Six Years of IPAS Achievements and Key Points for Developing Intellectual Property Strategies Revealed through Support in the Early Stages of Startups" (36 pages). This collection, released on June 3rd, explains the outcomes of their support over these six years and provides six case studies, along with six key points in building IP strategies that became evident through support during the startup phase. The contents include:

• An overview of IPAS and the challenges that led to its creation
• Four benefits gained from receiving IPAS mentoring
• Support case studies of six representative IPAS-supported startups
• Columns by experts with extensive knowledge of the startup industry
• Six key points in developing IP strategies revealed through IPAS support:
  • Clarify the customer image and customer value
  • Align the business model in fields where future markets are expected to form
  • Identify technologies that meet market needs
  • Carefully check the protection status of core technologies
