京都大学のGoogleテナントでの生成AI活用に向けた取り組み

【第88回】 大学等におけるオンライン教育とデジタル変革に関するサイバーシンポジウム「教育機関DXシンポ」（5/15 オンライン開催）で発表された京都大学の事例「京都大学のGoogleテナントでの生成AI活用に向けた取り組み」は参考になります。
京都大学では、Gemini への入力が学習に利用されないことが明記されたため、2024年10月からGeminiを全教職員(約13,000名)に提供開始、Gemini利用促進のためのコンテンツ作成についても紹介。
Geminiの具体的な使い方の例として、研究報告書の作成、学生向け通知文䛾作成、会議䛾議事録整理、データ整理・分析などを説明。

Kyoto University's Initiatives for the Utilization of Generative AI
 
The case study titled "Kyoto University's Initiatives for the Utilization of Generative AI within its Google Workspace Tenant", presented at the 88th Cyber Symposium on Online Education and Digital Transformation in Higher Education Institutions (Education Institution DX Symposium, held online on May 15), offers valuable insights.
At Kyoto University, it was explicitly stated that inputs to Gemini would not be used for training purposes. Based on this assurance, the university plans to begin providing Gemini to all faculty and staff (approximately 13,000 members) starting in October 2024. The presentation also introduced content developed to promote the use of Gemini.
Examples of specific use cases for Gemini included:

• Creating research reports
• Drafting student notification letters
• Summarizing meeting minutes
• Organizing and analyzing data

In addition, use cases for Gemini: Deep Research and NotebookLM were also introduced.
