旭化成の用途探索支援AI

旭化成の「用途探索支援AI」は、大量の特許文献から抽出した用途や材料などの特徴をまとめたデータに統計処理を施し、類似する用途ごとに情報を分類してクラスター(群)を形成、それぞれの用途群に対し、「接着剤」「フィルム材料」「タイヤ材料」といった人間が分かりやすいラベルを生成AIで付与するものだそうです。
使うLLMは1種類にこだわらず、適宜選んで使っているということで、こうした自社内での工夫が実を結ぶところまで、生成AIのレベルがアップしてきていることを感じます。
生成AIに「旭化成における生成AIの活用」をDeep Researchさせた結果を添付しておきます。細かく見ると間違いなどもありますが、しっかり調べまとめてくれているなあと感じます。

Asahi Kasei’s Application Exploration Support AI
 
Asahi Kasei’s “Application Exploration Support AI” applies statistical processing to data that summarizes features such as applications and materials extracted from a vast number of patent documents. It then classifies the information into clusters based on similar applications and assigns human-readable labels—such as "adhesives," "film materials," or "tire materials"—using generative AI.
Rather than relying on a single large language model (LLM), Asahi Kasei selects and uses different models as needed. This demonstrates that the level of generative AI has advanced to the point where such internal innovations are yielding tangible results.
Attached is the result of a Deep Research analysis conducted by generative AI on “Asahi Kasei’s use of generative AI.” While there are some inaccuracies upon closer inspection, it is evident that the AI has thoroughly researched and compiled the information.
