中部経済産業局が日本弁理士会東海会と連携し開催したセミナー「AI関連技術の審査事例」をオンラインで視聴しました。
「生成AI発明の権利化ポイント、知財実務における生成AI利活用の最前線」では、生成AIを活用した発明の特許出願ポイントや、権利化プロセスで考慮すべき点、生成AIを活用した特許情報サービス「サマリア」やその他の知財実務における生成AIツールの具体的な活用事例などが紹介され、なるほどと思いました
「AI活用がもたらす発明創造プロセスのパラダイムシフト」では、金沢工業大学で行われた、AIを活用した新たな発明創造の可能性についての「試験的プロジェクトから得られた知見」の紹介がとても良かったと感じました。AIが、人間の知識を拡張、視点を拡張、スキルを拡張し、アイデア創造プロセスを革命的に変える可能性があることを感じました。
「AI関連技術に関する審査について」「AI関連技術に関する審査事例について」では、AI関連発明の出願状況、AI関連技術に関連する審査基準、特許審査事例（仮想事例）などにより、AI関連技術の審査における具体的なポイントがよくわかりました。

Paradigm Shift in the Invention Creation Process Brought by AI Utilization

I attended the online seminar "Examination Cases of AI-Related Technologies", hosted by the Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Industry in collaboration with the Japan Patent Attorneys Association Tokai Branch.
In the session "Key Points for Securing Rights to Generative AI Inventions and the Forefront of Generative AI Utilization in Intellectual Property Practice", key aspects of patent applications for inventions utilizing generative AI, considerations in the patenting process, and practical examples of generative AI tools in IP practice, including the AI-based patent information service "Samaria", were introduced. I found the insights to be quite valuable.
In the session "Paradigm Shift in the Invention Creation Process Brought by AI Utilization", I particularly appreciated the introduction of findings from an experimental project at Kanazawa Institute of Technology, which explored new possibilities for invention creation using AI. The discussion highlighted how AI has the potential to expand human knowledge, broaden perspectives, enhance skills, and revolutionize the idea creation process.
The sessions "Examination of AI-Related Technologies" and "Examination Cases of AI-Related Technologies" provided a clear understanding of key points in the examination of AI-related inventions through discussions on AI-related patent application trends, examination standards, and specific (hypothetical) case examples.
